Our next generation
The children of today are the next generation in making-the future policy makers of our country, leaders, philosophers and educationist. The advert of computers and television has brought in a drastic change in child psychology enhancing their intelligence and developing them into well informed persons.
The parents of today are also better informed than their parents & obviously less hesitant than their predecessors about giving their children true information about the ‘birds & bees’. Channels like ‘Discovery Channel’ or ‘National Geographic Channel’ give detailed viewing knowledge about nature. This helps them at their development stage giving a broader perspective of the universe.
Being interested in the ‘birds and bees’ is a very much part of growing up, but never before has the mass media the equations between parents and children as dramatically as they have done since satellite television made its appearance in our country
Single parents are getting to be popular today and they are answering more questions to their off springs about their status. The varied influences they come across, interacting with their school mates belonging to different cultures and strata of society also makes them more inquisitive. Together with this, an exposure to wider world and latest technologies mean that these children develop a sharply defined worldview.
How can we blame children when we set examples of school officials, government officers and political leaders who talk of idealism but are corrupt themselves? The child is a product of the society he lives in and f we dream of our next generation to be principled and idealistic, our society has to change. An ideal society will enable development of ideal children who will form the base of a glorious and prosperous India in the future.
Name of the Book- Book Name- Electronic appliances
Topic- Electricity
Name of author- L.M Advani

Electricity is the set of physical phenomena associated with the presence and flow of electric charge. Electricity gives a wide variety of well-known effects, such as lightningstatic electricityelectromagnetic induction and electrical current. In addition, electricity permits the creation and reception of electromagnetic radiation such as radio waves.
In electricity, charges produce electromagnetic fields which act on other charges. Electricity occurs due to several types of physics:
·         Electric charge: a property of some subatomic particles, which determines their electromagnetic interactions. Electrically charged matter is influenced by, and produces, electromagnetic fields.
·         Electric current: a movement or flow of electrically charged particles, typically measured in amperes.
·         Electric field (see electrostatics): an especially simple type of electromagnetic field produced by an electric charge even when it is not moving (i.e., there is no electric current). The electric field produces a force on other charges in its vicinity. Moving charges additionally produce a magnetic field.
·         Electric potential: the capacity of an electric field to do work on an electric charge, typically measured in volts.
·         Electromagnets: electrical currents generate magnetic fields, and changing magnetic fields generate electrical currents.
In electrical engineering, electricity is used for:
·         electric power where electric current is used to energies equipment;
·         electronics which deals with electrical circuits that involve active electrical components such as vacuum tubestransistorsdiodes and integrated circuits, and associated passive interconnection technologies.
Electrical phenomena have been studied since antiquity; though progress in theoretical understanding remained slow until the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Even then, practical applications for electricity were few, and it would not be until the late nineteenth century that engineers were able to put it to industrial and residential use. The rapid expansion in electrical technology at this time transformed industry and society. Electricity's extraordinary versatility means it can be put to an almost limitless set of applications which include transportheatinglightingcommunications, and computation. Electrical power is now the backbone of modern industrial society.

Name of the Book- Wings Of Fire, an Autobiography                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Name of author- A.P.J Abdul Kalam with Arun Tiwary
[ 1931 – 1963 ]
This earth is His, to Him belong those vast and bondless skies;                                                                         Both seas within Him rest, and yet in that small pool He lies.
ATHARVA VEDA                                                                                                                                        Book 4, Hymn 16.
Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was born into a middle-class Tamil family in the island town of Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu. His father’s name was Jainulabdeen and his mother Ashiamma. His father has neither had much formal education nor much wealth: despite of these disadvantages, he possessed great innate wisdom and a true generosity of spirit. His parents were widely regarded as an ideal couple. Many people loved to visit their house, much that he couldn’t recall the number of people his mother used to feed every day.
Kalam was a short boy with rather undistinguished looks, born to tall and handsome parents. They were  living in their ancestral house, which was built in the middle of the 19th century. His father was a good human being and avoided all inessential comforts and luxuries.
The high priest of Rameswaram temple, Pakshi Lakshmana was a good friend of his father. The used to discuss spiritual matters. His father used to convey spiritual concepts in very simple, down-to-earth Tamil. His father used to say him: “Whenever human beings find themselves alone, as a natural reaction, they start looking for company. Whenever they are in trouble, they look for someone to help them. Whenever they reach impasse, they look to someone to show them the way out. Every recurrent anguish, longing, and desire finds its own special helper. For the people who come to me in distress, I am but a go-between in their effort to propitiate demonic forces with prayers and offerings. This is not a correct approach at all and should never be followed. One must understand the difference between a fear-ridden vision of destiny and the vision that enables us to seek the enemy of fulfillment within ourselves.” This encourage him a lot and inspires him to understand the sorrow and help people.
He had never learnt to discriminate people on the basis of their religion or any other factor. He saw people equally and led a respectable life.
This chapter tells us how Abdul Kalam had developed his personality and how was his childhood. I earlier thought that his childhood was not very tough but now I got to know that how tough his childhood was and how inspiring his life was. It was a privilege to read a glimpse of the biography of a great man who had a great personality.

Name of the Book- India Post
Author- Arvind Kumar Singh
Indian Post begins with thoughts and touches the heart. The Developed and organized structure of the Indian Postal System that we all see today is an outcome of a journey of thousands years. The Indian postal system has contributed significantly towards cultural exchange of India. The Indian postal system has always been the largest and reliable. This book is an attempt to pay tribute to the ever green and active postal system of India. I believe the author has an urge of putting the Indian postal system into a systematic way. The service provided by Indian postal system is well enough for India but author wanted to build this system far better. This book also reflects the deteriorating or declining portion of the Indian postal system. Overall I believe the author has contributed his hard labour for writing this book and his contribution can be noted in the book.

Name of the book: Nehru Patel agreement of conferences,1933-50
Name of the editor: neerja Singh
Subtopic: consent and convergence
In this chapter Nehru reflected upon his relationship with Patel in a note Gandhiji, dated 6 January 1948.Nehru said that it is true that there are only temperamental differences between Sardar and me but also are difference in approach in regard to economic and communal matters. These differences have persisted for a large number of years, ever since we worked together in the congress. Nevertheless in spite of these differences, these were obviously a very great deal in common in addition to mutual respect and affection and broadly speaking, the same national political aim of freedom. Because of this we functioned together during all these years and did our utmost to adopt ourselves to each other.

Name of the author: Arvind kumar
Modern science has its benefit as well as its effects. It started few decades before, from the great conceptual discoveries of Galileo and Newton. This century has seen the emergence of two revolutionary paradigms in physical science: quantum theory and relativity and the astonishing progress molecular understanding of the phenomena of life. We are now in the midst of yet another revolution in science that is cutting across its different disciplines. Chaos Fractals and self-organisation is an non-technical account of the ideas that are destined to culminate in a new non-linear science of the next century. It is a subject for everyone, for its insights are deep but practical and down to earth the leaking tap in our bathroom may be exhibiting Chaos, the bronchial network of our lungs has a fractal structure and all of us are marvellous self-organisation system of nature. We should keep in mind that Nature does not belongs us but we belong to the nature.
